Beuford

To those of you who have never had the pleasure of meeting me, my name is Beuford. I am a wonderful dog that loves life. I can't tell you alot about my distant past, you see I was about 10 years old when Montgomery County Animal Control saved me, along with 70+ others, from certain death by starvation on August 18, 2000.

I was transported from New Caney to Conroe by Animal Control and then, immediately taken to All Aboard by Dave Jones. He thought the very best place for me to be was with the folks at All Aboard -- he said they could save me!

I weighed 47 pounds, was heartworm positive and had "string" as suture material from my neuter. I could not walk well on my own -- I was skin and bones. My friend, Victory (42 pounds when we left New Caney) went with me to All Aboard. We were fed well, brought back to "health" and we both still remain here -- safe and .................... well, .............

I visited with Dr. Kainer this morning. My friends at All Aboard noticed some lumps in my neck when I was getting my bath two weeks ago. They seemed to be lymph nodes but everyone was hoping it would be just "an infection" .... I was taking antibiotics but everything seemed to be getting worse. The lumps got larger and it began to get difficult for me to swallow. I did not want to eat, I have started loosing weight. Despite the prayers for "infection" -- it was not.

I was diagnosed with lympho sarcoma (lymphatic cancer) this morning. I am in the advanced stages ... it has spread into my spleen just over the last several days .....

I am going to have to leave All Aboard on Monday, August 6. I am going to The Bridge.

Please light a candle for me ... I need your help to make sure I find my way.

Bless all of you that care for us "old ones" and all the young ones, as well.

My life was blessed when Montgomery Animal Control removed me from the circumstances I was subjected to and I have had a wonderful "almost year" with the gang at All Aboard.

I will miss everyone but I will "keep in touch" with all of your souls.

Lovingly

Beuford
